A little bit about me
I am a former actress having attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts for three years, and later finished my BA at the New School for Social Research. I have a passion for Arts in Education. As a teacher I've enjoyed working for Theatre Direct's Broadway Classroom, as well as Gotham City Improv.
I have been freelancing in web design with my business, The Actor's Website, as well as marketing and bookkeeping, for the past 8 years. I have created several web and print campaigns, for university programs, nonprofit theatres, and small businesses. Along the way, I've learned best practices for the web, helping people to get listed in search engines, and thereby garnering business for them. In fact, one of my first clients obtained an interview on a network morning show as a result of the website that I created for him.
I also spent many years in administrative roles, helping executives with all aspects of their business. I have experience making travel arrangements, keeping a busy calendar, maintaining correspondence, as well as supervising other staff, including reception, mailroom and kitchen staff. I have experience with bookkeeping having learned QuickBooks for my former positions. I am very adept with Microsoft office, as well as Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and InDesign.
Two of my greatest assets are my loyalty and discretion. Former employers would describe me as even-tempered and reliable, even when there is a tempest swirling around me. A perfect work situation for me is one in which I can make use of these skills, tackling a variety of challenges throughout the day.
